Balancing a love of classical composition, songwriting, performance, and music production is a constant battle for Benjamin Lemons. He began his musical journey listening to cassettes of The Beatles and begging for more albums from his parents. At the age of 5, he began studying classical piano and within a few years picked up a guitar.
Playing until the tuning pegs fell off of the headstock was not a distraction from the piano. Benjamin honed his skills on both instruments playing in and out of bands in his teenage years. For a couple of these years, beat-juggling and throwing dance parties was his main recreation along with songwriting.
After high school, the composer -- and his creative skills -- became more and more refined. He began writing songs that would soon become the albums "EP One" and "From a Piano Room." For his third album release under the moniker "Last Flowers," a dream to build a studio was born. A year was spent in Los Angeles as an apprentice engineer at the renowned Serenity West off of Sunset Boulevard. The course was complete, the studio was built, and "Love" was made.
In 2017, Benjamin studied music theory and ensemble performance at the local college where he was honored via a medal and speech for his accomplishments and affinity for music during that time.
In 2018, Benjamin and his business partner opened Bellingham’s premier nightclub in the heart of downtown! Benjamin can be found as the resident DJ there on some Friday nights.
In 2020, Benjamin released a track entitled “Tesla.” This was his attempt to create a very well produced electronic work.
